ADMISSION AND ELIGIBILITY FOR DIPLOMA COURSE-D.PHARM:
Minimum qualification for admission to the course
PUC 2nd Year or 10+2 or its equivalent with science recognized by the board. The candidate must have passed 10+2 exam with PCB/PCM
Duration: 2 Years
Practical Training After completion of final D. Pharm
Candidate has to undergo compulsory training of 750 hours over a period of three months at approved hospitals
ADMISSIONS AND ELIGIBILITY for B. Pharm Degree Course:
Minimum qualification for admission to the course
1. Candidate who have passed the two year P.U.C. examination Karnataka P.U.C. Board or an equivalent examination of any other approved board or university with minimum 50% marks in any combination comprising physics, chemistry, Biology and / Mathematics. Or physics, Chemistry and Biology (Minimum eligibility should based on the aggregate or P.C.M. or (P.C.B.) or P.C.M.B
Note: In respect of candidates who have taken P.C.M.B combination, the aggregate of P.C.M. or P.C.B whichever is higher shall be considered for the purpose of admission.
2. In the case of students belonging to SC/ST, group- A the minimum requirement in percentage of marks for the admission to B. Pharm course shall be 40% in combination.
OR
3. Final D. Pharm Examination conducted by an authority approved by the pharmacy council of India with a minimum of 50% of aggregate marks in all subjects of final D.Pharm.
Note: A candidate who has passed two years D. Pharm after his/her P.U.C. [The marks obtained in Human Anatomy, Physiology & Health Education prescribed by ER-1981 pf Pharmacy Council of India shall not be considered
Duration of Course:
Every student shall undergo a period of certified study extending over 4 years academic year from the date of commencement of his/her study for the subject comprising the pharmacy curriculum to the date of completion of the examination followed by practical training and industrial training.
Practical Training:
Every candidates shall undergo practical training in pharmaceutical Manufacturing House approved Hospital / CSIR research Labs for a period of not less than one hundred and fifty hours to be covered in not less than one month after completing B.Pharm. Candidate should submit two copies of the training report duly certified by the authorities of the training center in which he/she has undergone training, duly attested and certified by the Head of the Institution.
Industrial Tour:
Candidates studying in Final year of the course shall visit several pharmaceutical Manufacturing Houses as supplement to their academic training and submit a report to the satisfaction of the head of the institution where he/she studied.
ADMISSION AND ELIGIBLITY FOR M.PHARM DEGREE COURSE:
A candidate who as passed B. Pharm degree examination after pursuing study in a pharmacy college recognized by pharmacy council of India of this university and of other recognized pharmacy college affiliated to other university, recognized as an equivalent here to, with minimum 55% marks in aggregate of all four years B. Pharm courses are eligibility for the admission.
ELIGIBILITY FOR FOREIGN/NON RESIDENT INDIAN CANDIDATE:
1. For admission to Bachelor of pharmacy course the candidate must have passed in the subjects of physics, chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained 50% of marks taken together in physics, chemistry, Biology and /mathematics [B grade in minimum 2 subjects] and also the foreign qualifying[10+2] examination should be recognized by the "Association of Indian Universities"
2. Photostat copies of the course curricula of 9th, 11th and 12th standards, duly attested by the principal/school/college concerned. It may be noted that out of the four years study candidates should have taken course each of physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics preferably at the 11th and 12th standards with English as compulsory subjects, to be eligible for admission to 1st year B. Pharm.
3. Date of birth as recorded in the college/institution where he/she studies
4. Attested Photostat copy of valid passport
5. A demand draft of 500 US$ for foreign nationals other than SAARC Countries
6. For foreign national of SAARC counties 5000 INR
7. If a certificate is in a language other than English or Hindi, translated English version of the same duly attested by a gazetted officer or a notary should be submitted. |
